The Lord is now exalted
And lifted from the earth,
The cross became his glowry,
By death he brought new birth
In pain and desolation
He was not heard to speak,
But suff'ring brought salvation
For those he came to seek.
The sorrow that he suffered,
He carried for our sin,
His wounds have brought us healing
His pain, our peace within,
He died as one rejected.
Redeeming us from blame.
In him we are perfected,
For he has borne our shame.
